great enthusiasm at Shri Guru Ravi
Dass Temple,
Rio Linda (California) on Sunday,
March 11th,2007.The numbers of kirtankar,
kathakar and singers enlightened the teachings of Guru Ji & also
recited
the Gurbani Shabad from Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib and also some
speakers Ajit
Ram Bangar, Kewal Bolina, Baldev Singh Suman, Gurbachan Chopra, Des Raj Bangar,
Dashwinder Paul, Palvinder Mahi, Paramjit Bhutta, and Prem
Kumar Chumber delivered
their speeches/shared their thoughts about Guru
Ravidass's life and goals.
All Shri Guru Ravi Dass Societies of California, Rio
Linda, Bay Area, Pittsburg,
Fresno,
Selma, Yuba City & IBO California,
Sacramento Sikh Community Gurudwaras, a youth Sikh leader John Singh Gill were
awarded with plaques commitment toward community service & also Prem Kumar
Chumber was awarded with plaque for his commitment toward community service
through print media & his own website ambedkartimes.com. Same day security
officers & Ragi/Dhadi Jathas were also awarded with Siropas.
After the Sri Akhand Path’s bhog ceremony 7th
Annual Prade dedicated to their Guru,
Guru Ravi Dass Ji celebrated around in Rio Linda town where
large numbers of sangat were attended. So many families served free food, soft
drinks, cold water & also some books.
Outrageous amount of people were present on this
occasion to celebrate the Gurpurab of their great revolutionary Guru, Shri Guru
Ravidass Ji. They came from different parts of the state California
and also all Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha's one or more committee member(s)
participated of their Guru's Gurpurab.
Hans Raj Kajla & Amar Baidvan well done job
as stage secretary. Mr. Kewal Bolina did thanks to all sangat & expected
that in future, the sangat will continue co-operate to the management committee.

Pittsburg: Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Pittsburg, California celebrated the 630th Birthday Anniversary of Satguru Ravidass Maharaj Ji on Sunday, February 04, 2007
at the temple. About 3000 devotees of Guru Ji attended a three day
long Prayers, the Kirtan Diwan ceremonies to honor and pay their
tributes to this Great Saint who inspired people by his spiritual
leadership and practice to abolish manmade discriminations based on
caste, color and creed.
Prominent
Kirtankar Bhai Tarjinder Singh, Bhai Baldev Singh and Sathi, Dhadi
Jatha of Bhai Major Singh Khalsa, Bhai Harblas Singh, Religious songs
by Sewak Dass, davinder singh modesto, pali , hardev singh recited the
Kirtan Diwan. Distinguished Speakers and community leaders Sukhraj
Chpora, Dr. Harmesh, Kewal Bolina, Vinod Chumber, Des Raj Banger, and
O.P. Balley spoke on the life and teachings of Satguru Ravidass Ji.
President
Ajay Kataria and Chairman Balvir Mall thanked the entire Sangat for
their participation in this program and also to the dedicated sewadars
Gurnam Singh, Dharam Pal Chonkria, Jaila Jaggi, Satpaul Surila, Bibi
Asha Rani, Bibi Mohinder Kaur, Bittu Kalsi, Dalwinder Paul, Hem Raj,
Som Bhatia, George Bhatia and many more who volunteered their skills
and creativity to prepare langer, decorate and overall maintenance of
Guru Ghar.
General
Secretary Dashvinder Paul said that Guru Ji gave his simple message of
universal love, peace and social justice for all, Satguru Ravidass Ji
was a great religious and social reformer dedicated his whole life for
the welfare of the humanity. Our true tribute to Satguru Ravidass is to
adopt and follow his sacred philosophy, preaching and make them a part
of our lives. He congratulated to the entire Sangat for their generous
donatios and all Sri Guru Ravidass Sabhas of the California for their
cooperation to make the Birth Anniversary celebration of Guru Ravidass
Ji a huge success.
